Zo\u2019n auto is natuurlijk ideaal voor avontuurlijke tochten op smalle wegen en paden. Maar daarin overnachten, dat is niet iets wat in zo\u2019n kleine auto echt voor de hand ligt.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Toch is er nu een verrassende ontwikkeling: campermodules die van deze kleine off-roader een comfortabele slaapplaats maken. Zo heb je niet langer een tent of daktent nodig. Maar het blijft behelpen, dat is niet anders in een auto van dit formaat.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Transformatie van de Suzuki Jimny<\/h2>\n<p>Traditioneel wordt de Suzuki Jimny gezien als een kleine, maar capabele terreinwagen. Het compacte formaat, hoewel uitstekend voor off-road avonturen, lijkt echter niet echt geschikt voor kampeerdoeleinden, tenzij je in een (dak)tent overnacht. Maar het Japanse Smile Factory, gespecialiseerd in het op innovatieve ombouwen van kleine Japanse bestelwagens tot camperbusjes, heeft nu modules ontworpen waarmee de Jimny transformeert in een mini-camper, compleet met tweepersoons slaapplaats.<\/p>\n<h2>Off Time Crossroad Module<\/h2>\n<p>Wat dat betreft is de Off Time Crossroad Module van Smile Factory een gamechanger. Deze module, die werd ge\u00efntroduceerd tijdens de Japan Car Camping Show, bevat een volledig uitklapbaar bed dat boven de gevouwen stoelen kan worden geconstrueerd, een hulpstroomvoorziening en een koelkast. Afhankelijk van of de reiziger alleen of met een partner is, kan het bed in verschillende configuraties worden opgezet. both\" \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<h2>Nog wel behoorlijk behelpen<\/h2>\n<p>Qua afmetingen is het uiteraard een beetje behelpen. Toch is het bed qua formaat nog vergelijkbaar bedden in andere compacte campers, met een breedte die varieert van 127 cm aan de voet tot 120 cm aan het hoofdeinde. De lengte, die varieert van 156 tot 170 centimeter is wel een stuk beperkter, vooral aan de bestuurderszijde vanwege het stuurwiel. Dit kan een te grote uitdaging zijn voor langere kampeerders, maar mensen die wat korter zijn kunnen hier met wat creativiteit toch wel redelijk comfortabel op overnachten.<\/p>\n<h2>Stroomvoorziening en koelbox<\/h2>\n<p>De module die je in de kofferruimte onder het bed kunt plaatsen, is een compact \u2018keukenblok\u2019. Deze module bevat een 30-liter koelbox in ladevorm en een 70-Ah huishoudaccu. Je beschikt hiermee over zowel DC- als AC-stroom via een 1500-W omvormer, met 12-V en USB-poorten. Deze box kan netjes onder het bed worden geplaatst voor gemakkelijke toegang en kan ook buiten de auto worden gebruikt.<\/p>\n<h2>Prijzen<\/h2>\n<p>Smile Factory heeft nog geen specifieke prijzen vermeld voor de Off Time Crossroad Module. Wel zegt men dat deze de totale kosten van een avontuur met de Jimny niet enorm zal verhogen.
