Hiermee wil Airstream zich ook richten op mensen die veel moeten reizen voor hun werk, en de zogenaamde \u2018digital nomads\u2019. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Met de Airstream Flying Cloud 30FB Office kunnen zij op een luxueuze manier reizen \u00e9n werken. De kans dat de negen meter lange caravan ooit in Europa zal worden aangeboden, lijkt ons overigens klein.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>\u2018Remote workers\u2019 en thuiswerken<\/h2>\n<p>De Flying Cloud 30FB Office combineert de ruimte en luxe van het normale model met een speciale kantooropstelling om \u2018remote workers\u2019 en mensen die thuis moeten werken een functionele werkplek te bieden. Hierbij heeft Airstream zich uiteraard laten inspireren door de coronapandemie, waarbij niet alleen de Europeanen maar ook \u00a0de Amerikanen de recreatievoertuigen hebben ontdekt als alternatieve manier om mee te reizen \u00e9n om in te werken.<\/p>\n<p>Ook in Amerika waren de producenten aangenaam verrast door de enorme vaag naar recreatievoertuigen. Steeds meer gezinnen gingen de weg opgingen om even \u2018los\u2019 te zijn van de coronamaatregelen en kozen een camper, caravan of vijfde om in te overnachten, wonen en werken.<\/p>\n<p>Airstream\u2019s keuze om een indeling met \u2018mobiel kantoor\u2019 aan te bieden kan wel eens heel slim zijn. In een onderzoek, afgelopen november uitgevoerd door de RVIA (Recreational Vehicle Industry Association), gaf 29 procent van de respondenten aan dat ze vorig jaar in hun recreatievoertuig hebben gewerkt. De werkplek is zo ingericht, dat deze comfortabel genoeg is om er fulltime te kunnen werken. Het bureau heeft ingebouwde laden en USB-poorten voor het opladen van apparaten. De tafel is uittrekbaar zodat het werkblad kan worden vergroot. Ook de ruime dinette kan worden omgebouwd tot een bed. Indien er nog meer slaapruimte nodig is, kan de kantoorruimte worden gebruikt.
